Miller: Optimistic
Liam Miller believes the Republic of Ireland have a great chance of beating France in their World Cup play-off.
The two countries meet at the weekend in the first-leg of their play-off for a place in next summer's World Cup finals.
France go into the game as favourites to reach South Africa, but Hibernian midfielder Miller is confident Ireland can upset the odds.
"We've definitely got a chance, but at the same time it is going to be a really hard game as the internationals France have are world-class players," Miller told Sky Sports News.
"It will be a really tough game, but certainly over two legs it is one we think we can win.
"Obviously the manager has done great so far and we would all love to qualify.
"The manager has come in and built up a really good team and it's two games away from qualification so we know what's at stake.
"It would be massive [to qualify]. The whole country is behind us for a massive two games and fingers crossed with a bit of luck we can get there."
