Arshavin - where next?

Russian playmaker Andrei Arshavin is a man in demand after inspiring his side to the last four of Euro 2008 and Sky Bet have prices on which club will snap up the Zenit St Petersburg ace.

Arshavin says he has offers from England and Germany, but his preference is to play in Spain and Sky Bet make Barcelona the 3/1 favourites to sign him.

Chelsea (4/1) and Arsenal (5/1) are second and third favourites respectively to be his next club while Sky Bet also offer: 8/1 Real Madrid, 10/1 Man Utd, Atletico Madrid, 16/1 Spurs, Man City, 20/1 Everton, 33/1 Newcastle, Aston Villa.

Talking of the Spain's Primera Liga, Arshavin said: ""It's the championship that I have always followed, I like how football is played there. But for now, I have no offers from Spain."

Murray 7/4 for quarter-finals

Andy Murray opens his Wimbledon campaign against Fabrice Santoro on Tuesday and is 7/4 with Sky Bet to make the quarter-finals.

Murray, who has never yet progressed past the fourth round of a Grand Slam, has met the French veteran once before, winning 6-4 6-2 at last year's Paris Masters and is 1/14 to take his scalp again.

Santoro also faces Jamie Murray in the first round of the men's doubles and is 20/1 with Sky Bet to knock out both brothers in the opening round. It's 4/7 for the Murray brothers both to beat Santoro.

Stoute St Leger Bid

The St. Leger is the only gap in Sir Michael Stoute's extensive roll of honour and Sky Bet quote 6/4 for the nine-time champion trainer to break his duck this year with a first win in the oldest Classic.

Stoute's horses dominate the ante-post market, with Derby runner-up, Tartan Bearer, and Queen's Vase winner, Patkai, heading the betting as 4/1 joint favourites and King Edward VII Stakes runner-up, Conduit, 6/1 third favourite.

With such a strong hand, Stoute is quoted at 7/1 to train the first two home and 25/1 to train an unprecedented first, second and third.

Sky Bet spokesman, Michael Shinners, said: "After so many near misses, this looks to be Sir Michael Stoute's best chance yet of getting a winner, with the first three in the betting all from his yard."

Going for gold

Sky Bet have released prices on two of Great Britain's medal hopes at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing.

Triple jumper Phillips Idowu had three leaps over 17m when taking victory at the European Cup on Sunday and Sky Bet make him just 9/4 to come home with the gold medal.

Also at the weekend, Mark Foster became the first British male swimmer to dip under 22 seconds for the 50m freestyle.

Breaking the 22-second barrier launched Foster into the world's top 10 after a year which has seen the world record traded between Eamon Sullivan and Alain Bernard with the former the current holder with a time of 21.28.

Foster is a 14/1 outsider to claim gold in the 50m freestyle in Beijing.
