After a disappointing 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic, England have been eased to 12/1 (from 11/1) with Sky Bet to win the 2010 World Cup and Fabio Capello is just 3/1 to get the sack by the time their qualifying campaign is over (2/9 still to be England manager on October 20 2009).

Sky Bet's senior football compiler, Mike Triffitt said: "Prior to Wednesday's friendly we were the only bookmaker to be odds-against England to win group 6 and, after their poor performance, we are more than happy to lay them at a standout 6/5."

Captain John Terry is now 16/1 to skipper England to victory in the 2010 World Cup, with England priced at 1/3 to qualify, 5/2 to go undefeated in the group stage, 20/1 to win all of their qualifying matches and 40/1 to be unbeaten in the competition.

Betting is also available on when England will first suffer defeat in the competition. Sky Bet quote 66/1 for Andorra to cause an upset on September 6 and 11/8 for Croatia to be England's first stumbling block four days later in Zagreb.

Sky Bet are also offering odds on how many goals England will put past Andorra in their two qualifying matches and quote 5/6 for 8.5 or more.

It's 5/6 for England to keep a clean sheet in over 6.5 qualifiers and 5/6 for them to score over 22.5 goals in their qualifying campaign.

None of the Home Nations managed a win in midweek and Sky Bet offer 5/1 for two or more of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to win their respective World Cup groups.

It's 11/8 for none of them to finish top of their section.

Betting is also available on when Scotland and Wales will first taste victory in the competition and Sky Bet quote 11/10 for George Burley's men to win their opener against Macedonia and 1/4 for Wales to get off to a flyer against Azerbaijan.

Giovanni Trapattoni is 5/4 to get a win against Georgia, which will be his first competitive match in charge of the Republic and his team are 20/1 to do the double over Italy in the qualifiers.

Can the Dragons roar?

Sky Bet are offering odds on which two teams will contest the Super League Grand final and make third-placed Catalans 9/1 to meet table-topping St Helens at Old Trafford on October 4.

A second consecutive Saints v Leeds showdown is 2/7 favourite and Sky Bet also quote 5/2 for Saints, who are two points clear at the top, to win the regular season this weekend.

It's 4/5 for St Helens to win both the regular season and Grand Final and evens for them to lift the Challenge Cup Trophy as well.

Robinho on the move?

With speculation that Real Madrid's Robinho could still move to Chelsea this summer, Sky Bet are betting on where he will be playing his football on the first day of the 2008/09 La Liga season.

They make his current club a red-hot 1/12 favourite and then it is 6/1 for Chelsea to make a late swoop for the Brazilian.

A move to Catalan giants Barcelona is 20/1 while it is 25/1 for him to become a Manchester United player.

KP 7/1 for series award

England's five-match one-day series against South Africa gets underway at Headingley on Friday and Sky Bet have priced up a variety of special markets, including odds on who will be named man-of-the-series.

England captain Kevin Pietersen was named man-of-the-series in their last one-day series in 2005 and is 7/1 to be honoured again. Pietersen scored three centuries during the 2005 series and is 20/1 to do the same this time round.

Owais Shah has been promoted to number three in England's batting order and Sky Bet quote 5/6 for him to score over 165.5 series runs (5/6 under 165.5 runs).

Matt Prior makes his return to the England side after impressing on the domestic scene and is 5/6 to score over 160.5 runs (5/6 under 160.5 runs).

England and South Africa have met at Headingley on just one previous occasion, in 1998 when England won by seven wickets and Sky Bet offer 33/1 for the Lions to win by the same margin this time. The Proteas, on the back of a 2-1 Test series victory over England, are 1/2 favourites to win the series.

Hamilton 5/1 for Hat-trick

Formula One resumes after a summer break in Valencia this weekend and Sky Bet have introduced a new 'race hat-trick' market; betting on a driver to start on pole, win the race and also record the fastest lap.

Lewis Hamilton is 5/1 to pull off the 'hat-trick', with Kimi Raikkonen quoted at 9/1 and team-mate, Felipe Massa, available at 14/1.

Hamilton holds a five-point lead over Kimi Raikkonen in the championship and is 5/4 favourite to win in Spain on Sunday and 8/15 to win the world title this season.
