Top seed Richard Gasquet clinched victory in the Mumbai Open on Sunday, beating Olivier Rochus of Belgium 6-3 6-4.
The Frenchman wrapped up the success in one hour and 26 minutes in humid conditions to win his first title of the season.
The world number 14 built on an early break of serve against the eighth seed to take an opening set notable for its long baseline rallies.
Rochus, ranked 66th in the world, continued to battle hard in the second set in his first final appearance of the season, trading breaks to tie 3-3.
But Gasquet, who reached the Wimbledon semi-finals in June, claimed another crucial break of serve in the seventh game and this time there was no coming back for the 26-year-old Belgian.
