The US Open has upped its prize money by $1million for this summer's tournament.
The total prize fund will now be $20.6m - with up to $2.6m extra available in bonuses.
The winners on the men's and women's singles title will each win $1.5m each, with a further £1m possible depending on performances in a series of US Open tune-up events.
