Soderling: Has pulled out of Valencia
World number 10 Robin Soderling has withdrawn from the upcoming Valencia Open with tennis elbow, Swedish media have reported.
Soderling is still in contention to qualify for the season-ending Masters Cup in London, with just two spots remaining.
The French Open finalist, who is a provisional ninth in the race to secure the final places, also pulled out of the Stockholm Open ahead of the semi-final after suffering the problem for two months.
Soderling has been in rehab and treatments this week and is hoping to return for the Paris Masters starting next month.
"Things are going in the right direction quickly and he may be able to begin practising at the end of next week," Soderling's coach Magnus Norman told Swedish television SVT Sport.
