World number six Andy Roddick has withdrawn from the Paris Masters, organisers have confirmed.

Roddick, 27, is still nursing the knee injury that forced him to retire from the Shanghai Masters in October.

The American has already secured his place in the eight-man field for the ATP Tour World Finals in London from November 22-29.

But the final two places at the lucrative season-ending event will be determined at the Paris Masters, which runs from November 8-15.

Nikolay Davydenko and Fernando Verdasco currently occupy seventh and eighth respectively in the standings.
