Del Potro: Determined to improve
World number five Juan Martin Del Potro has committed to play at the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club for the next three years in a bid to improve his fortunes on grass.
The US Open champion, who will play Andy Murray in the opening singles match of the ATP World Tour Finals on Sunday, has a modest record on grass having been knocked out of Wimbledon in the second round for the past three years.
However, in an attempt to adapt to the quicker-paced surface ahead of the SW19 showpiece, Del Potro has committed himself to the Wimbledon warm-up event for the forseeable future.
"I am determined to do well on grass in my career and this is the perfect opportunity for me to improve my game on the surface,'' he said.
"The AEGON Championships is a big tournament, and many players have done well at Queen's in the past and then gone on to win at Wimbledon.
"I hope that this can happen for me also."
