Baltacha: Through to the main draw
British No.1 Elena Baltacha is through to the main draw of the Indian Wells Open after a straight sets victory.
Baltacha had looked less than impressive in her opening qualifying match, but she showed some superb touches as she toppled Ekaterina Bychkova 6-3 6-4.
That means the Scot will now face Alexa Glatch in the first round - with the American wildcard ranked almost 100 places below the world No.65.
The winner of the tie will then go on to take on seventh seed Li Na in round two.
Baltacha said: "It's fantastic. This year already it's the third WTA event that I've qualified for so I'm really pleased.
"I'm looking forward to playing Glatch. I've never played here before but I've had two matches already on these courts and I'm ready to get another win."
Baltacha joins Anne Keothavong is also in the main draw with the British No.1 paired against Anna Chakvetadze.
