Murray looking ahead

Andy Murray has already put the disappointment of his Wimbledon semi-final exit behind him and is looking forward to the challenges ahead.

The world number four lost in the last four for the third year in a row after once again hinting that he could be about to break his duck in the Grand Slams.

But the 24-year-old Scot has had an impressive season on clay and grass and is focusing on the positives.

"I've got to look forward and not worry about what has happened in the past," he told Sky Sports News, as he prepares to lead Great Britain in this weekend's Davis Cup clash against Luxembourg at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow.

"I've got to work on myself to get better. It is not worth thinking about what has happened. The last few months have been very good but I need to get better. I gave myself a day off on Sunday and then started training again."

Pressure

Asked if the weight of public expectation on him is becoming a burden, Murray answered: "No. I just keep doing what I'm doing. I have got a lot of people supporting me. The guys that I work with are excellent and they help me a lot.

"When you want to win there is always going to be pressure, no matter whether there is a lot of media around or public expectation.

"If you want to win yourself then the pressure to win is going to be there regardless, so it doesn't make much difference."

After the Davis Cup match, Murray will head to The United States for the build-up to the US Open at the end of August, where he was runner-up in 2008.
