The Miami Dolphins will be without top receiver Greg Camarillo for the rest of the season due to a knee ligament injury.
Camarillo is the top wideout with the Dolphins this season, with 55 catches and two touchdowns, but scans on Monday revealed that he has torn ligaments in his left knee.
Camarillo injured his knee during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 48-28 defeat against the New England Patriots, after taking six catches for 75 yards.
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano revealed that Camarillo would not return this season due to his injury - which came just a week after signing a new three-year contract.
"Camarillo is not good," Sparano said. "Camarillo is done."
"You don't want to lose a player like that. He has been really productive for us and to me the guy has just been exactly what you're looking for on your football team.
"I'm disappointed for him. I'm disappointed for the team."
Camarillo has had a consistent season in Miami, and enjoyed a career day at the start of November when he caught 11 passes for 101 yards against the Denver Broncos.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins and the Patriots face an NFL investigation after an on-field fight between New England's Matt Light and Miami's Channing Crowder.
Both men were ejected after a scuffle broke out following Stephen Gostkowski's fourth-quarter field goal - resulting in Light punching Crowder several times after the Miami man's helmet came off.
The NFL's director of football operations, Gene Washington, will now review the incident and decide if any disciplinary action needs to be taken.
