The Tennessee Titans bounced back from their first loss of the season with an emphatic 47-10 win over the Detroit Lions in the opening Thanksgiving fixture.
The Lions (0-12) simply had no answer to a rampant Tennessee offence with running backs Chris Johnson and LenDale White scoring two touchdowns apiece.
Johnson finished with 125 yards under his belt and White added 106 as the Titans powered to their best 12-game record in franchise history.
The Titans, eager to avenge their 34-12 defeat to the New York Jets in week 12, took the lead when wide receiver Shaun McDonald fumbled on Detroit's second play and the visitors capitalised through a six-yard run from rookie rusher Johnson.
Detroit's Jason Hanson booted a 53-yard field goal to cap the ensuing drive and close the deficit to 7-3.
Tennessee responded just four plays later - the speedy Johnson bursting up the middle for a 58-yard touchdown to make it 14-3 before a comical piece of play saw Dave Ball intercept a pass for a 15-yard score.
Two quick-fire seven pointers from White in the second quarter saw Tennessee build up a 35-3 cushion, however Detroit did find the end zone with 34 seconds left in the first half through Michael Gaines.
Tennessee increased their lead in the second half thanks to four field goals from Rob Bironas. The 47 points marked the Titans' highest single-game total since a 48-27 victory over Green Bay on October 11, 2004.
The defeat was Detroit's largest Thanksgiving losing margin in 69 contests.
Quarterback Kerry Collins completed 11-of-18 passes for 127 yards for the Titans, who held a 456-154 edge in total yards from scrimmage.
