Donovan McNabb produced a vintage display to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 48-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

McNabb, benched during the Eagles' 36-7 loss to Baltimore last week, threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns to secure a win that keeps his side's play-off hopes alive.

He was ably supported by running back Brian Westbrook, who shrugged off a recent rib injury to claim a franchise record four touchdowns.

Westbrook scored twice in the first quarter and once early in the second as Philadelphia raced into a commanding 21-0 advantage.

From that point the result was never in doubt, a further effort from Westbrook on a nine-yard run in the third quarter was supplemented by late touchdown catches by DeSean Jackson and Jason Avant. David Akers also kicked two field goals.

Ups and downs

"Playing the quarterback position you go through ups and downs but it's about how you pull yourself out of it," said McNabb.

"I don't pay attention to the (bad) weeks that I've so-called had...I guess I'm pretty good, huh?"

It was a disappointing day for the Cardinals and, in particular, veteran quarterback Kurt Warner.

Warner threw three touchdown passes, two to Larry Fitzgerald and one to Steve Breaston, but was intercepted three times to seal his side's fate.

The Eagles remain bottom of the NFC East with a 6-5-1 record but are still in contention for a play-off wild card, while the Cardinals drop to 7-5, although they stay well clear at the head of the weak NFC West.
