San Diego running back LaDainian Tomlinson is doubtful for the divisional round of the play-offs on Sunday.

The Chargers travel to the Pittsburgh Steelers after beating the Indianapolis Colts 23-17 in overtime in the wild card round.

Tomlinson managed just 25 yards on five carries against the Colts after coming into the match nursing a groin injury.

He left the game after a three-yard scoring run in the second quarter and did not return. Back-up Darren Sproles filled in with 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

"This is a tough injury," Tomlinson said.

"I would probably venture to say it's probably the toughest of my career. We'll see what happens."

The five-time Pro Bowler, however, refused to specify the exact nature of the problem: "I won't because it's a medical issue and different doctors have their opinions."
