Ward: Knee ligament strain
Pittsburgh star receiver Hines Ward took part in his first full practice of Super Bowl week on Thursday after a recent knee injury.
Ward - MVP in the Steelers' Super Bowl victory three years ago - strained his right knee ligaments in Pittsburgh's AFC title game win over the Baltimore Ravens on January 18.
The 32-year-old 11-year veteran has caught for more than 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
The Steelers are hot favourites to beat Arizona on Sunday and go ahead of the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys with a record six Super Bowl titles.
"It's very important," Ward told reporters. "We didn't come this far to lose. It would be a great part of history, to be part of an organisation that won six championships. We call it the six-pack.
Ward added he was tired of all the questions he has faced about his knee in the build-up to the big game.
"I want to go out there and play even harder," he said. "I want to show the world that I can go out and play and help my team win the Super Bowl.
"Every day it's something about my knee. I think my knee deserves the Oscar award. It has had more interviews than anyone here at the Super Bowl."
