Steyn: One-day nod
South Africa have called Dale Steyn into the one-day squad to face New Zealand after his fine displays in the Test series.
Steyn comes in for big-hitting batsman Justin Kemp in the only change for the Proteas from the squad that beat Pakistan last month.
Steyn took 20 wickets for the Proteas in just two Tests with back-to-back ten-wicket hauls helping the hosts to a comfortable 2-0 series victory.
New Zealand went down by an innings and 59 runs in the second Test, following on from a 358-run defeat in the opener.
South African selectors have no brought in Steyn after his devastating Test form, and replaced batsman Kemp for the one-day series.
"Dale gives us an exciting extra option as a wicket-taking bowler," said selection chief Joubert Strydom.
"With the number of all-rounders in our squad we are happy with the depth we have to our batting."
South Africa play three one-day internationals against the Black Caps, with also a one-off Twenty20 international in Johannesburg on Friday.
