Fleming: No plans to retire just yet
Stephen Fleming has rejected reports that he is set to retire from international cricket.
The former New Zealand captain faced questions about his future following the conclusion of the second Test against Bangladesh.
Speculation had mounted during the game that Fleming was set to call it quits, despite making 87 in the Black Caps' first innings.
However, he insists he intends to carry on playing for his country, starting with the three-Test series against England on home soil.
"Unless it has come from [Glenn] Turner or [Richard] Hadlee or [Dion] Nash or [John] Bracewell, then it's not the case," said Fleming, referring to the Kiwis selectors.
When asked if he would play against Michael Vaughan's side, he added: "That is certainly the plan.
"I'm working hard on a couple of things batting-wise with that in mind. I've got three weeks now to work away at domestic level."
That series against England offers Fleming another chance to hit a Test century at his home ground in Wellington.
The 34-year-old has not managed to reach three figures at the Basin Reserve during his 12-year international career.
"That's probably one of the regrets I'll have with my 43 50s - there are a lot where I look for the positive option and just don't execute, or get carried away, get impatient," he added.
