Quotes of the week
Sanath Jayasuriya will not be joining Warwickshire for the Twenty20 Cup after being recalled to Sri Lanka's one-day squad.
Jayasuriya, 38, had agreed a short-term deal with the Bears but that has now been scrapped as it clashes with his international commitments at the Asia Cup.
"The news regarding Sanath comes out of the blue and is disappointing especially given his recent form in the IPL," Warwickshire director of cricket Ashley Giles told the county's official website.
"We will now look to see who might be a suitable replacement for this exciting competition."
