Shoaib: belated arrival
My aim is to take wickets.

Quotes of the week
Shoaib Akhtar has joined Surrey for the final two games of the season after sorting out his visa problems.
The Pakistan fast bowler, 33, arrived at Heathrow last Wednesday but immediately returned home because he did not have the necessary paperwork required to work in the United Kingdom.
But the issue has now been resolved and Shoaib arrived in England in time to participate in a training session at the Oval on Monday morning.
He has been named in Surrey's squad for the LV County Championship fixture against Hampshire, which starts on Tuesday.
"My aim is to take wickets," Shoaib told Surrey TV.
"I will try my level best with short, sweet bursts to get some wickets for Surrey.
"I do need bowling practice and match practice so it's a good platform for me to be out there to help Surrey out."
Surrey currently sit 18 points adrift at the bottom of Division One and must win their last two matches to have any chance of avoiding relegation.

Michael Trainor says...
What a story it would be if Akhtar could be the saviour, especially after the visa debacle. However, don't get too excited surrey fans because I think this one is a bridge too far and your fate could even be sealed in the next game against Hampshire. On a positive note, it is a statement of intent from Butcher who obviously won't take relegation lying down.
