Trescothick and Harmison have impressed in 2008
Steve Harmison, Marcus Trescothick and Ravi Bopara are among four nominees for the NatWest PCA Player of the Year award.
The English trio will battle it out for the domestic individual prize with Kent batsman Martin van Jaarsveld after the nominees were announced on Tuesday.
Despite starting the 2008 campaign out of favour with the England selectors, Durham paceman Harmison has been a key performer for his county, claiming 58 wickets so far this season at an average of 23.08.
On the basis of his form, Harmison was persuaded to come out of limited-overs international retirement by new national team captain Kevin Pietersen.
Trescothick has been instrumental in Somerset's pursuit of the LV County Championship title having gone public about the anxiety attacks and depression which forced his retirement from international duty.
The former England left-hander has scored three first-class centuries for the Cidermen in 2008 at an average of 49.56.
Also nominated for the PCA Player of the Year award are Essex all-rounder Bopara and Kent's Kolpak batsman van Jaarsveld.
Bopara, who is averaging 56.36 runs so far this season, has also been shortlisted for the young player of the year gong alongside Kent batsman Joe Denly, Nottinghamshire and England bowler Stuart Broad and Yorkshire's Tim Bresnan.
The award winners will be voted for by the membership of the Professional Cricketers Association and the awards ceremony will take place on Monday, September 29 in London.
