Pattinson: New deal
Darren Pattinson has followed team-mates Mark Wagh and Samit Patel by signing a contract extension with Nottinghamshire.
The seamer, who picked up 47 wickets in the LV County Championship as well as a surprise England cap against South Africa at Headingley in 2008, will remain at Trent Bridge through the 2011 season.
Director of cricket Mick Newell is delighted to have secured the services of the player, who was born in Grimsby but has spent most of his life in Australia.
"It goes without saying that we want to retain a core of players on long-term contracts, and Darren is deserving of a new deal after his performances last season," said Newell.
"We have a very strong bowling attack, and Darren will be fitter and stronger in 2009 and able to make another significant contribution to the club.
"He hasn't played much cricket in Australia during our winter - which is good for us, because he will report back fresh and ready to pick up where he left off."
