Eoin Morgan insists he has more work to do before he can claim to be an established player in the England side.

The 23-year-old, who made the switch from Ireland in favour of representing England earlier this year, has proved crucial in his adopted team's limited-overs set-up and has featured in their last 10 one-day internationals.

Morgan has claimed three half-centuries in his 12 ODIs so far, with his most memorable an unbeaten 67 from 34 balls which contributed to England's win that sent hosts South Africa crashing out of the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Middlesex left-handed batsman made more progress in cementing his England future with another remarkable half-century against the Diamond Eagles in South Africa, where Morgan is currently involved in a two-and-a-half month tour.

Delighted

"I'm delighted to be honest. I've got a number of opportunities now throughout the summer and obviously in the Champions Trophy as well," said Morgan.

"I'm pleased to see myself hitting good form and getting runs on the board."

Despite a run of notable performances for England, Morgan is adamant he must do more to earn a regular place in the team.

"I'm far from established, to be honest," he added.

"I'm only a newcomer in the side and looking to establish myself and looking to move in the right direction with the team."
