England Twenty20 skipper Paul Collingwood praised his side for "another great performanance" after the five-wicket win over Pakistan.

The reigning world champions overcame a mid-innings wobble to coast to victory in a low-scoring game at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.

Eoin Morgan made an unbeaten 38 as he and Michael Yardy (35 not out) helped the home side recover from 62-5 in their run chase.

The duo saw England home with 17 balls to spare after the bowlers had done superbly to restrict the tourists to 126-4 from their 20 overs.

Outstanding

"That was another great performance. At the moment we have a strategy that seems to be working," he told Sky Sports.

"The bowlers have been absolutely fantastic to keep Pakistan down to a total like that. It was always going to be quite gettable.

"We had a little bit of a hiccup there, losing a few early wickets, but Morgs and Yards were outstanding at the end.

"The skills that the boys have shown are absolutely fantastic. The thought processes, the execution, getting the fields right.

"Obviously there's a lot of communication going on before the game and out on the park and the boys are just doing it in the middle and keeping the opposition down to good totals that we can chase."

Fielding errors

Opposite number Shahid Afridi was left to lament another disappointing performance from Pakistan in the field.

At 62-5 the visitors looked to have their opponents in serious trouble but Shoaib Akhtar's failure to cling on to a simple chance from Morgan off his captain's bowling proved extremely costly.

"I mention these things all the time, that we are missing a lot of opportunities in every game, and I think we should realise this," he said.

"If you are to win any type of cricket, you should be good in the field."

However Afridi was "very happy" with the way his team played after a difficult week following allegations of 'spot-fixing' by Pakistan players during the fourth Test at Lord's.

"At one time, it looked like we were going to win this game. But the way Morgan and Yardy played, they did very well," the all-rounder added.

"The way my boys played, I am very happy.

"We missed some opportunities, like catches and run-outs. So next time I hope we will avail these opportunities. In this kind of cricket, fielding is a main weapon if you want to win."
