James Anyon is committed to Warwickshire until the end of the 2010 season after signing a new two-year contract.

The seam bowler, 25, made his first-class debut in 2003 and has since taken 104 wickets at an average of 38.85.

"I am delighted to be staying with the Bears for another two years at least," said Anyon.

"I am enjoying working under Allan Donald and Ashley Giles and I believe the club and the team are moving in the right direction and I know that under them we can achieve honours this year and beyond."

Director of cricket Giles added: "Jimmy is a key member of the squad and has grown in experience over the last few years and we are happy that he is committing his future for the Bears."
