Trescothick: Record knock
Marcus Trescothick had a quiet start to his season six-wise but that all changed in the past week.
A typical, stand-and-deliver innings from the booming left-hander saw him clear the ropes seven times in Somerset's recent t20 defeat of Hampshire.
Trescothick's competition record 13-ball half-century helped his side chase down 216 and, along with three more maximums at Essex two days later, left him top of the pile for July and back in the overall running in the Sky Sports Sixes League.
Injured Essex all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate is still out ahead, with Tom Maynard of Glamorgan second and Durham's Kieron Pollard third.
