Graeme McDowell's victory at the Ballantine's Championship has given the Northern Irishman an outside chance of playing at the first major of the year, although both he and Colin Montgomerie need a strong showing at this week's WGC-CA Championship if they are to book their places at The Masters.
The duo will both tee it up at the second World Golf Championship event of the season in Miami knowing the cut-off point for Augusta comes just a week later.
Monty failed to aid his cause at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week despite a late invitation from organisers as he missed the cut at Bay Hill.
As a result the Scot will need something special at Doral if he is to force himself into the world's top-50 in time for Augusta.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods has stretched his already huge lead at the top to some 12.05 points over Phil Mickelson as he secured a ninth win in ten outings at Bay Hill following his dramatic birdie putt for victory on the final hole.
