After four months travelling through South Africa, Australia and Asia, the European Tour finally arrives back on its home continent.

European Tour stats package

This week's Andalucia Open takes place in the heart of one of Spain's main tourist regions - the Costa del Sol.

Aloha Golf Club, eight miles from Marbella and designed by Javier Arana, has been around since 1975.

It is a 'shortish' course where good accurate iron play is the key to low scoring. The fairways are undulating and tree-lined, but there are very few water hazards.

Lee Westwood has flown in from Florida to defend the title he won in 2007 but he will not have been overjoyed by his mediocre display at Doral.

As for those taking on Westwood this week:

Phillip Archer: After a slow start to the season, Archer posted his first top-10 of 2008 in Korea two week's ago. Was second at Aloha last year.

Thomas Bjorn: Two top-10 finishes in the past month may just signal a return to form for the enigmatic Dane. Posted a brace of top-10s on Spanish soil last season.

Anders Hansen: Started strongly at Doral last week where he carded a first round 67 over the Blue Monster course, and eventually posted a top-12 finish.

Peter Hedblom: The Swede has registered three top-10 finishes on Tour this season, which includes a play-off defeat at the recent Malaysian Open.

Miguel Angel Jimenez: Made a great start at Doral last week when he was tied for the lead after 18 holes. Fell away thereafter bit remained inside the top-30. The veteran Spaniard is an honorary member at Aloha.

Jose Manuel Lara: The up-and-coming Spaniard will fancy his chances on home soil.
