Langer: One-shot lead
Bernhard Langer carded a level-par 70 to move into the lead after the third round of the US Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club.
The German, after two steady opening rounds of 71, now stands at +2 - one shot clear of the field heading into the final day.
Langer's nearest challengers are Jeff Sluman, his playing partner on Saturday, who also returned a 70 to finish at +3 and Jay Haas who shot a 72.
Overnight leader Haas had looked to be slipping out of contention until an explosive finish to his third round.
The American was four-over through fourteen but then made a birdie-two at the short 15th before holing his second from around 170 yards on the 17th for a memorable eagle.
He could only bogey the last, but is still very much in the hunt just one shot off the pace.
Scott Simpson and Bill Britton are a further three shots back on +6, while Greg Norman is part of a four-man group on +7 along with Tom Kite, Scott Hoch and Joey Sindelar.
Ian Woosnam is the leading British contender on +10 but looks to have little prospect of challenging Langer, the US senior tour's money leader this year.
