Yani Tseng of Taiwan retained her four-shot lead at the Ricoh Women's British Open after signing for a 68 for the third straight day at Royal Birkdale.

Having managed birdies at the 13th and 15th, Tseng sunk a superb 20-foot eagle putt at the last to leave herself on 12 under.

The late flourish means the 21-year-old goes into the final round with a comfortable cushion - she has dropped just one shot through 54 holes.

Katherine Hull is now her closest challenger after the Australian reeled off five successive birdies in her six-under score of 66.

Korean In-Kyung Kim is a further shot adrift, while Brittany Lincicome managed a one-under 71 to move into fourth place on the leaderboard.

A group of five players - Kim's compatriot Seo Hee-kyung, Japan's Momoko Ueda, Americans Christina Kim and Cristie Kerr and Suzann Petterson of Norway- follow on four under,

Pressel shines

Morgan Pressel produced the best round of the day, bouncing back from back-to-back bogeys at the start to record eight birdies and an eagle for a 65.

"Those first two holes are just very difficult, and you take two bogeys," she said after moving up into a share for 10th place with Na Yeon Choi.

"I bogeyed both of them first thing and made two straight birdies right after that. I just made a lot of putts. That's really how you score out here. I hit 14 greens, I had 25 putts."

Karine Icher of France and Spain's Maria Hernandez are the leading Europeans at level par.

Wales' Becky Brewerton is the top British player a further shot back, despite managing the first hole-in-one of her career at the par-three 12th.

"To have it here, at this tournament as well, was brilliant," she said.

"The shot was great all the way. It looked really good but I couldn't see it go in. There was quite a big crowd to the left of the green and they all went nuts. I didn't know what to do with myself."
