Charley Hoffman's win at Deutsche Bank Championship saw him rocket up the world rankings, while Tiger Woods remains number one.

American Hoffman produced a sizzling final round of 62 as he stormed to a runaway five-shot victory in Boston - the second event of the FedEx Cup play-off series.

The triumph, just the second PGA Tour title of his career, lifts Hofmann from 132nd to 51st in the world.

England's Luke Donald, who finished joint second with Australian duo Jason Day and Geoff Ogilvy, has moved into the world's top ten on the back of his display, creeping up from 11th to eighth.

At the top of the tree, Woods again resisted the challenges of Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker to maintain his position as number one.

Woods finished well with a 68 to end up in a tie for 11th, while closest contender Mickelson slumped to a closing 76 as he again blew his chance to usurp his great rival.
