Garcia: Players champion
Sergio Garcia ended his three-year wait for a tournament success by lifting the Players Championship at Sawgrass.
However, was this the turning point in the Spaniard's career?
Now he has addressed the problems with his putting can he now go on to lift a major, or are there still flaws in his game that will leave him in the shadows of Tiger Woods and Co?

Great to see Sergio finally be rewarded for his talent in one of the top events on tour. Hopefully now that he seems to have his putting somewhat sorted with the addition of an old scotty putter he will be able to go on and challenge for a major. I really beleive that he will end his major hoodoo this year and I see him making a charge up the rankings to emerge as Tiger's closest challenger. Well done Sergio!!

Long overdue win for one of golf's most charismatic and exciting young players. Wonderful to see him lift the trophy after being second last year. Now he needs to maintain his form so he's in the Ryder Cup team automatically come August although I would hope that Faldo would pick him anyway! Well done Sergio - keep it going!

Fabulous moment for Garcia... so long he has been there or there abouts, however it always looked if the Ryder Cup would be the highlight of his career. However he has now managed to iron (no pun intended) out his short game and his putting was superb. I really hope he can go on to challenge Tiger... however that is easier said than done.
