Money is continuing to come in for Steve Stricker in all golf betting markets following his victory in the Northern Trust Open which saw him depose Phil Mickelson as world number two.

Sky Bet have cut Stricker to 6/5 (from 11/8) to make the cut in all four majors this year and he is 28/1 (from 50/1) to win the Open and 18/1 (from 33/1) in the US Masters betting without Tiger Woods.

Stricker won three US Tour titles last year and has taken his good form into 2010 with a top-ten finish in the season-opening SBS Championship and a third place in the Sony Open.

SkyBet have slashed him to 11/1 (from 28/1) to be the next maiden major winner and he now heads the market together with Rory McIlroy.

Sky Bet's golf betting expert Andy Thorp said: "In Tiger's absence, Stricker is currently the number one player in the world and punters are backing him to break his major duck this year."

Sky Bet are also betting on the Majors Cup - a little known award given to the player who shoots the lowest combined total score in the four majors.

Ross Fisher won it last year and is 33/1 for a repeat.

Tiger Woods heads the betting at 11/2 although, like all contenders, he must play in and make the cut in all four for the bet to count.

McIlroy is an 11/1 chance to rack up the lowest overall total at Augusta, Pebble Beach, St Andrews and Whistling Straits while Stricker is 12/1 alongside Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood.
