Nottingham's Carl Froch has targeted American fighters Kelly Pavlik and Jermain Taylor as he looks to enhance his growing reputation into foreign shores.
Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy will contact associates of the middleweight champions, who have a re-match in Nevada on February 16 - provided the Nottingham south-paw beats Russian Denis Inkin in his WBO final eliminator.
Pavlik stretched his unbeaten record to 32-0 (with 29 KOs) when he stopped Taylor - in the seventh round in September of last year.
Hennessy is adamant that Froch is a super-middleweight fighter and has ruled out talk of fights with Glenn Catley or light-heavyweight Clinton Woods.
The Nottingham fighter's promoter would like to see Froch take on Mikkel Kessler - if he regains any of the titles he lost to Joe Calzaghe.
"Carl's future is at super-middleweight," Hennessy told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"Calzaghe, Kessler and Carl are the best three super-middleweights in the world.
"They are in a class of their own. No one has handled Carl's power so far. He's hitting harder and faster."
The prospect of a European title fight with top Italian Cristian Sanavia is also something which Hennessy has hinted at - however, this is not an immediate priority for the Froch camp.
"We have not abandoned it," insisted Hennessy.
"We have always said that we want to go down the traditional route of British, Commonwealth, European and then the world and that is still the case.
"Once Carl beats Inkin there could be a delay of six to eight months before a world title fight, but he wants to keep busy.
"We have agreed for Sanvia to have one voluntary defence before he fulfils his mandatory with Carl.
"It will be an easy win for Carl - he is in a different league."
