Alex Arthur will put his WBO super-featherweight title on the line when he takes on Nicky Cook at the Manchester Evening News Arena on September 6.
The 30-year-old will be looking to defend the belt for the first time since being installed as the full champion after intially being made the interim holder.
Arthur claimed the strap with victory over Koba Gogoladze last July and went on to defend it against Stephen Foster Junior last December.
Cook, who has most recently fought at featherweight, is next up for the Scot and promoter Frank Warren is predicting a real battle between the two Brits.
"I think it's a tough fight for Alex and I think it's a good fight for the fans," Warren said.
"If Alex is going to get where we want him to be, these are the types of guys he's got to beat and in style.
"It will be a real fans' fight and he's got to be at the top of his game. He's going off to Cyprus tomorrow where he'll be trained by Wayne McCullough, which is good for him."

"I definitely want a big fight at the end of this year. I want to fight in America and I want it to be a big world title fight and it's only round the corner.
"If I didn't think I could win fights against the world champions then I wouldn't be saying all this."
