Breidis Prescott admitted even he was surprised by the speed of his knockout win over Amir Khan.

The unbeaten Colombian stunned British boxing by sparking the boy from Bolton after just 54 seconds of their MEN Arena showdown.

Prescott, who was 20-1 against to win the fight, had predicted he would stop Khan, but even he did not expect to be celebrating a famous win inside the first minute.

"I said I was going to knock him out in the fourth, however I got him good in the first and now I feel great," he told Sky Box Office through a translator.

"I was saying from the moment I got to England that I was going to knock him out and that's just what I did. Now I feel great."

Prescott refused to rubbish Khan's chin - even though there have long been question marks against it.

Instead he put the stunning win down to his own punching power, which has now seen him knock out 18 of his 20 professional opponents.

And he says he is ready for a rematch should Khan and Frank Warren call for a return and would even be happy to come back to Britain.

"I think Amir Khan is a great fighter who has got lots of skills," he said.

"It's just that I went in there and let him hands go. I'm very powerful and I caught him. That's what happened.

"I'm not really sure if he would want it (a rematch)! I'll do whatever it takes, like I said, I'll give it to him in his house of he wants. If he wants a rematch, I don't care."

Khan had described the fight as Prescott's own world title opportunity and the Colombian now finds himself big news, not just here in Britain, but throughout the boxing world.

But, he says, this is only the start. Now the man family from Barranquilla, who was straight on the phone to his mother back home, wants a world title for real.

"This is how you have to do it; in order to become a great champion you have to knock out great people in your career - and that's where I'm going in the future," he said.
