Face-off: Hatton and Malignaggi
Ricky Hatton was bang on the light-welterweight limit as he came face-to-face with Paulie Malignaggi for the final time before their big fight, at the weigh-in in Las Vegas.
As with Hatton's huge fight with Floyd Mayweather Jnr at the same MGM Grand venue, a huge following of Hitman fans attended the weigh-in and produced a stirring atmosphere.
Malignaggi and his entourage were playing up to the crowd, as they gave the brash-talking Italian-American a red-hot reception onto the stage.
Hatton received his now usual rapturous welcome in Las Vegas, with again a large number of fans coming out to see him fight.
On the scales, Malignaggi came in a pound under the light-welterweight limit at 139lbs, or nine stone 13lbs.
Hatton, who was three pounds over 24 hours ago, came in right on the limit at 140lbs, or ten stone exactly, before the final face-off.
Unlike the pushing and shoving that occurred before the Mayweather fight, Hatton looked a lot calmer this time around and the face-off passed without incident.
Hatton, who defends his IBO light-welterweight belt against Malignaggi, briefly addressed his adoring fans after the weigh-in.
"Thanks everybody for your amazing support again," said Hatton at the weigh-in, which was live on Sky Sports News.
"Well, here we go again.
"I'm going to do you proud again, come on everyone, let's have it!"
