De La Hoya: Wants to fight in London.
Oscar De La Hoya has insisted that any potential showdown with Rick Hatton would have to take place in London, rather than Las Vegas.
De La Hoya is set to face Pacquiao at the MGM Grand on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Box Office, with Hatton in line to face the winner.
Wembley has already been mooted as a potential venue - and the 'Golden Boy' has set his sights on fighting in England for the first time in his glittering career.
De La Hoya told The Guardian: "A fight between me and Hatton has to happen in London. I can have a Vegas fight with anyone but if I'm going to fight Hatton it has to be in his backyard.
"At this stage I need special events to motivate me. London, in front of that vast Hatton crowd, would definitely motivate me."
De La Hoya is big friends with Hatton as well as promoting Manchester's finest. But he says all that would go out of the window come fight time.
Oscar added: "I like Ricky. A fight against him would be very different to Pacquiao. Ricky and me would have a friendly build-up but, come fight night, with the way he swarms in aggressively, it would be very serious. We'd have to share some hurt to make a lot of money together."
