Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach insists he is so confident his man will beat Oscar De La Hoya that he is prepared to forego his training fee if the Filipino does not win.

Pacquiao (47-3-2) comes into Saturday's Judgement Night clash at welterweight as a clear underdog due to the size difference between the two men.

Pacquiao may be recognised as the pound-for-pound king of boxing but he began his career at 106lbs and it was only in his last fight against David Diaz that he made the successful step up to 135, fully 12 pounds below Saturday's weight limit.

By contrast, the four-inch taller De La Hoya is a much bigger man and also has a six inch reach advantage.

That makes the American hot favourite with the bookies to improve his record to 40-5 but Roach - who formerly trained De La Hoya - is confident his new man has the edge.

"I thought it was a mistake for Oscar to take this fight, I think it is too much for him," Roach told Sky Sports News. "Some people are suggesting I am doing it for the money, I say, hey, don't pay me. No problem, I am that confident my guy is going to win the fight."
