Rising star Frankie Gavin says he will be among a new breed of British prospects to take the boxing world by storm in 2009.
The 2007 world amateur champion is currently preparing to make his professional debut in the New Year, alongside Olympians Billy Joe Saunders and James DeGale.
And as he continues his training with Anthony Farnell in Manchester the 23-year-old is predicting the rookies will go on to shine on the world stage.
"Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton are fantastic fighters," he told the Daily Star. "But they will be coming to the end of their careers in the next year or so and the search is already on for the boxers who are going to replace them
