WBC light middlweight champion Timothy Bradley beat Kendall Holt to add the WBO title by unanimous decision on Saturday.

Bradley survived two knockdowns in Montreal to retain his unbeaten record, and unify the titles in the 140lb division.

The heavy-handed Holt floored his opponent in the first of the 12 round bout and again seconds before the end in the dying seconds of the last.

But in the end Bradley, who had outboxed Holt in spurts, got the nod from two judges 115-111, with the third scoring it 114-112 in his favour.

The win, which saw him move to 24-0 with 11 knockouts, will take Bradley a step closer to a showdown with the division's stars, Manny Pacquiao and England's Ricky Hatton.

Pacquiao of the Philippines and Hatton are set to meet in Las Vegas next month in what will be a clash between two of the world's top pound-for-pound boxers.

Bradley won the WBC title from England's Junior Witter last May in a split decision at Nottingham.

His first defence was last September against Edner Cherry of the Bahamas, which he took by unanimous decision

Holt fell to 25-3 with 13 knockouts.
