Ajose Olusegun added the British light-welterweight title to his Commonwealth crown with a unanimous points victory over Nigel Wright in Liverpool.
The battle of the southpaws was a rematch of the fight in February 2008, and the outcome was even more convincing as Olusegun claimed the vacant British title.
The Nigeria-born fighter controlled the fight and landed almost twice as many punches as his Durham opponent. The win extends Olusegun's unbeaten record to 28-0.
Despite his dominance, the 29-year-old failed to deliver the knock-out punch, although the judges scorecards - 117-112, 117-111, 116-113 - all confirmed the margin of victory.
Olusegun, who entered the ring looking to maintain his perfect record after triumphs over Alex Spitjo, Mihaita Mutu, Michael Frontin and Scott Haywood following last year's win over Wright, dominated from round one.
While Wright was solid in defence, he offered nothing going forward and was forced to soak up numerous heavy blows.
Olusegun was so comfortable that by the fourth round he relinquished his guard and began toying with Wright in an attempt to entertain the crowd.
Wright grew in confidence and caught Olusegun with a crunching left in the sixth round, however that was the high point of his evening.
Olusegun kept the challenger at bay with a big right hook in the ninth and despite a late flurry of punches from Wright in the final two rounds, it was too little too late, and the title chance passed him by.
