Wakefield have signed Hull's back row forward Matty Dale for a loan period of a month.

The Wildcats are going through a serious injury crisis and were able to name just 16 of their 29-man senior squad for the Challenge Cup victory over Salford.

The 21-year-old has not been able to force his way into the line-up at the KC Stadium and Hull are keen for him to gain further Super League experience.

Dale, who is out of contract at the end of the year, had loan spells with National One sides Whitehaven and Featherstone last year.

Wakefield take on Harlequins in the Super League on Saturday.
