Wigan will have to find an alternative venue to the JJB Stadium if they reach the quarter-finals of the Carnegie Challenge Cup and are drawn at home.
The JJB Stadium will be out of action for six weeks while essential repair work is carried out on the badly-worn pitch.
The Warriors, who are at home to Whitehaven in the fourth round of the Cup on Monday night, will be able to play their Super League match against Warrington at the JJB Stadium next Friday.
But the ground will be out of commission for the next round of the Cup on the weekend of May 31.
The scheduled home game against Huddersfield on June 6 has been postponed but the work is expected to be completed before Wigan's home fixture with Harlequins on June 27.
