Rugby League legend Martin Offiah is the latest top name to commit himself to playing in the Help for Heroes charity match at Twickenham on 20th September.

The game - which will be shown live on Sky Sports - is aiming to raise at least £1million for the Help for Heroes charity, which contributes to the care and rehabilitation of injured British service personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Offiah, 41, who also played Union in his long career, has joined the likes of England World Cup winners Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Will Greenwood in the squad to face an International XV.

Fantastic job

Looking forward to the game, he said: "Our forces are doing a fantastic job and I wanted to help in any way I can, that's why I have decided to take part.

"Since retiring, I haven't really played much rugby, it has been more football.

"Just recently, I have been playing a bit of touch (rugby) to get myself back into it. but now I've got exactly eight weeks full training to get myself ready for such a huge match."
