Catalan Dragons boss Mick Potter insists he will not let his side be effected by the 34-24 defeat to Harlequins as the play-offs approach.

The French outfit showed plenty of spirit after falling behind 22-8 but with a date with Warrington already booked, the Dragons perhaps had one eye on the post-season.

"The play-offs are a new competition - we have to look at it like that," Potter said. "Confidence-wise it's maybe given us a little bit of a knock but our preparations won't change too much.

"I believe in keeping good consistent routines, they're the ones that have worked for us during the year.

"It's fantastic that the game is at home. I hear in the media that everyone's dreading coming to the south of France, I don't know why, it's a beautiful place!"

Quins said goodbye to three players - Julien Rinaldi, Henry Paul and Scott Hill - and coach Brian McDermott was delighted to give them a winning send-off.

"They have all been fantastic players for us but it's not like we're losing a leg!" he said. "While it's a big loss we will come up with similar attacking style next year.

"We've got people coming in like Luke Dorn so we've just got to tweak a few things."
