Darrell Griffin: Instrumental in the signing of his brother
Huddersfield have completed the signing of highly-rated Josh Griffin, beating off a host of other Super League clubs in the process.
The 18-year-old moves to the Galpharm Stadium from Wakefield Wildcats and is the brother of Giants' England international Darrell Griffin.
Griffin junior told the Huddersfield Giants official website: "I'm excited about coming here and excited about working with this squad.
"I know my initial chances in the Super League squad will be very limited, but I'm going to be training with Brett Hodgson who's one of the best full-backs in the game, and if I can't learn from him I'm sure I never will.
"That's one of the reasons I chose to come here, because I did have several other offers.
"Darrell helped sell the club to me as well, he loves it here, and he feels that at this stage of my development this move is ideal."
Giants Player Performance Manager Peter Riding was delighted with the latest signing ahead of next year's Super League campaign.
He said: "Josh is an outstanding prospect and one I've been lucky enough to work with before during my time at Wakefield.
"We have monitored him very closely since I came to the Giants and Josh has got all the attributes to go a long way in the game. He is big, athletic and carries the ball very well. He has also got a fantastic attitude."
