Castleford Tigers have boosted their squad with the signing of Normanton Knights youngster Clark Thompson.
The 17-year-old prop forward looks a fearsome prospect - at 6ft 2ins tall and 18 stone - but he will team up with the Tigers' academy initially.
Current academy starlet Sam Lynch has also been rewarded for his efforts with the youngsters by signing a new contract at The Jungle.
The 18-year-old full-back also moved to the club from Normanton and coach Dean Sampson is the man tasked with bringing these players through over the course of the next few years as Castleford look to establish themselves in Super League.
