Great Britain rugby league internationals Leon Pryce and Stuart Reardon have been told they could face jail after admitting assault.

Reardon, 27, pleaded guilty at Bradford Magistrates' Court to assaulting his estranged wife Kay after finding out she was seeing another man, while Pryce, also 27, admitted assaulting her new partner.

Adjourning sentencing for pre-sentence reports, Deputy District Judge Nick Watson told Pryce and Reardon: "You need to understand that a prison sentence is what I have in mind at the moment for this offence."

An additional charge of using violence to gain entry against both defendants was dropped after the prosecution offered no evidence.

Sentencing was adjourned to April 23 and Pryce and Reardon were both given conditional bail to appear before magistrates at the domestic violence court in Bradford on that date.
