Former Great Britain international Stuart Reardon has joined Hull FC until the end of the season after parting company with Warrington Wolves.

The 27-year-old was only released by the Wolves on Thursday but could make a debut for his new club on Monday against St Helens.

Hull are still without injured full-backs Motu Tony and Todd Byrne so head coach Richard Agar has included Reardon in his 19-man squad that will travel to Knowsley Road.

"Stuart will give us some much-needed depth and cover to our back line and I know he is looking forward to joining up with the squad," Agar said.

Regret

Reardon has not played since suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon almost a year ago and is currently waiting to be sentenced for assaulting his estranged wife.

He is eager to make a fresh start at The KC Stadium, although he has been warned that he could face jail time when the decision is made on April 23.

"My recent court case has been well documented. Whilst my actions were very much out of character, I acknowledge that does not justify or excuse my behaviour, which I deeply regret," Reardon said.

"I am hoping that moving to Hull will give me a new start and I intend to be a positive influence in the club not only as a player but also off the field supporting their numerous community-focused initiatives."

Hull launched a campaign against domestic violence at their derby match with Hull KR on Good Friday.
