Bradford new boy Julien Rinaldi is ready to get straight down to work - starting with Friday's tough trip to St Helens.

The Frenchman has been summoned out of Manly Sea Eagles' reserves by Bulls coach Steve McNamara on a temporary deal.

Despite only arriving in England at the start of the week the 30-year-old looks set to be feature at Knowsley Road, a venue where Bradford haven't won in four years.

Rinaldi admits he is still getting used to the time difference but, having trained twice with his new team-mates, is all-set to face Saints on Friday night.

Right attitude

"Everything has happened so quickly," said the former Harlequins and Les Catalans player.

"I'm a bit tired during the day but it's fine. I have to do the job straight away. It's a case of being professional and getting the attitude right.

"This is my job, this is what I want to do. All the boys have made me really welcome and we've had good training this week."

Bradford currently sit in 13th place in the Super League table with only the Celtic Crusaders, who have yet to register a point in 2009, below them.

However, one of their two wins this season came against previous leaders Leeds and Rinaldi is confident he can help pull off another upset against Saints.

Surprised

"I was surprised at how they are going when you see the squad," he admitted. "I am sure they will get back to a win soon.

"I've got an opportunity and I want to show that I can still play at this level and help the club climb the table.

"St Helens are the top team at the moment but, if everyone is positive and we get the attitude right, I reckon we have the quality to win the game."

Bulls coach Steve McNamara acknowledges that he is taking a calculated risk in picking Rinaldi, who can play at half-back or hooker.

"It is a big ask but he has been playing in Australia on the Sunshine Coast and he is very keen to make an impression back in Super League," he said. "Obviously we have been desperately short of cover in our half-backs."
